Our next kid’s pop up pantry will be Saturday, August 13, 2022, from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at Calvary Church of Naperville. We will have kid-friendly groceries along with backpacks and school supplies. Alderman Patty Smith will be handing out 1000 pairs of socks.
During distribution, we use plastic bags for our neighbors to carry their groceries in. We are running low and are seeking donations of bags for upcoming distributions. Thank you!
Healthy Cents Classes
Join U of I Extension at the Aurora Food Pantry for their free Healthy Cents series and cooking demonstrations! Registration is required. Tastings will be offered and incentives may be distributed to participants who attend 50% or more of the programs.
Offered in English (10:00 – 11:00 AM) and Spanish (12:00 – 1:00 PM)

Bookmobile Stops
The Aurora Public Library and the Aurora Food Pantry are teaming up to deliver books and food to families! The library and food pantry will be at the following locations: Oak Park Elementary School | Every Monday | 10:45-11:30 AM Constitution House | Every Tuesday | 2:00-3:00 PM Georgetown Elementary School | Every Thursday | 9:00-10:00 AM
Meals on the Move through the Northern Illinois Food Bank is a mobile route that provides Summer lunches to kids and teens, 18 and under, Monday-Friday at four different parks in Aurora.
State Representatives Barbara Hernandez, Keith Wheeler, Stephanie Kifowit, and the Kane Senior Council are hosting several senior meal distribution events throughout 2022. These events are FREE and will take place at St. Athanasios Greek Orthodox Church, 1855 5th Ave in Aurora, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Each registered senior will receive 5 frozen meals. This is an ongoing event, and there will be two meal distributions per month through October. Remaining meal distribution dates (all Mondays):

September 12th & 26th
October 3rd & 24th
Registration is required, please contact the office of State Representative Barbara Hernandez at (630) 270-1848 at least 4 days in advance to register. Please state whether you are signing up for one date or for multiple dates.
